Today was day three of this mad health kick and its been great actually.
I have drank a litre of water which I am so impressed with. For breakfast, I had an apple. Trust me when I say that is a lot for me in the morning. Never have been very good at the breakfast thing, even as a kid. I had a bit of treat today, nothing too bad, just a large Mocha from Between the Buns. It was a coffee kinda day. Anyhoo...For lunch I had two small/medium baked potatoes, with a small amount of butter and a handful of cheese.
I finished work early as we had done everything, so I went to the gym. Today I worked out for an hour. Fifteen minutes on the treadmill, to warm up, 15 minutes on the bike, then about 15-20 minutes doing some upper body workouts and then ten minutes on the treadmill to wind down. Feeling pretty pleased with myself...and I still haven't stood on the scales. Let's see how long I can do this with breaking and looking at the number.
After my workout, I stood waiting for my lift home and worked on my physio stretches. I can feel a definite improvement. Hopefully it shows when I go to see Matt on Thursday. Will do some more physio stretches before bed tonight.
Right now I am munching on a navel orange. Love this fruit, especially cut into chunks :)
Dinner tonight is homemade Thai Green Coconut Chicken Curry with some jasmine rice. The best part about that, if I make enough tonight then there will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow, huzzah!
I have a feeling that I am going to succeed in keeping the weight off this time. I have many things driving me, but I am also not denying myself things that I might be craving. For example, this time round I am not completely cutting out carbs. Instead I am just limiting how many I have. If I feel like having a sandwich then I will, if I want pasta then I will have pasta. What I am doing is trying to include more fruit and veg and a lot less soft drink and it's probably a good thing that I seem to have gone off chocolate at the moment. My major craving these days is crisps (chips) esp the Red Rock Deli. I may treat myself to a small bowl of them tonight. That probably sounds like a lot, but the bag is huge so a small bowl will barely make a dent in the bag.
Feeling pretty proud of myself, but I think that could be the exercise endorphins running around my body.
Anyway, that's enough of that.
Vicky xx
